Trip itinerary

Our transport is 120 EUR, lunch included. Your transport is 50 EUR, without lunch.

If you prefer to travel independently, you can take the bus from Podgorica to Sarajevo, which stops near our camp. We’ll happily pick you up from the station and ensure you seamlessly join the adventure.

RAFTING FROM PODGORICA - OUR TRANSPORT

Our team will pick you up from your location in Podgorica and transport you to our TaraSport Outdoor Resort, situated near the Tara River. During the journey, you will enjoy scenic views of Montenegro's beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival at the rafting base camp, you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink and a short briefing from our expert rafting guides. After receiving your high-quality equipment, you will proceed to the rafting starting point. You will then embark on a thrilling rafting adventure through the Tara Canyon, Europe's deepest canyon. Experience the excitement of navigating the crystal-clear rapids and admire the pristine beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. After your rafting adventure, you will enjoy a delicious traditional Balkan lunch at our base camp, featuring homemade specialties and fresh ingredients. Finally, relax and enjoy the return trip to Podgorica, reflecting on your memorable experience.

Please remember to bring your passports, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Also, please bring a USB drive or SD card with at least 16GB of storage so we can transfer the tour video to you afterward as a small token of our appreciation for your trust.

MORNING TOUR

7:30 AM - Our driver will arrive in Podgorica to meet you at your specified location. The trip will then proceed from Podgorica to the camp.
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - arrival at the camp, meeting with the guides, briefing and handing out equipment; when all participants arrive we leave for the start point of the tour with our off-road jeeps, Brštanovica
11:00 AM - 11:30 AM - arriving at Brštanovica, preparing the raft, start of the tour
11:30 AM - 3:00 or 4:00 PM - rafting down Tara, taking a few breaks for swimming, taking pictures, jumping off rocks; the tour ends next to the base camp; after the tour, you return your equipment, you may take a shower at the camp and receive your video from the tour
3:00 - 4:00 PM - Lunch is served, and afterward, our driver will take you back to Podgorica.

AFTERNOON TOUR

11:00 AM - Our driver will arrive in Podgorica to meet you at your location and transport you to our base camp.. Enjoying the marvelous views along the way.
1:30 PM - 2:00 PM - Upon arrival at the camp, we will meet with the guides for a briefing and equipment distribution. Once all participants have arrived, we will depart for the tour's starting point in Brštanovica using our off-road jeeps.
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM - Upon arrival in Brštanovica, we will prepare the raft for the tour's commencement.
2:30 PM - 5:00 or 6:00 PM - We'll enjoy a leisurely raft trip down the Tara River, pausing occasionally for swimming, photography, and some cliff jumping; the tour concludes at the riverbank of our base camp. Following the tour, please return your equipment. You are welcome to shower at the camp afterwards, and you will receive your tour video.
5:00 - 6:00 PM - Lunch is now being served, and afterward, our driver will be happy to return you to Podgorica.

YOUR TRANSPORT

In case you will be traveling to do the rafting tour with your own vehicle, we would suggest you drive from Podgorica using main road (E762/M18) from Podgorica towards Kolašin and Mojkovac. Continue following the signs for the Tara River region or Pljevlja. The resort is located near the Tara River canyon, close to Šćepan Polje, which is a well-known entry point for rafting. The drive typically takes about 2-2,5h.

The meeting location is at base camp, situated just behind the border. We kindly request your punctual arrival between 10:00 and 10:30 AM. Certainly, a complimentary parking area is available at the base camp, ensuring your vehicle's safety until your tour concludes. Please remember to bring your passport and some money for drinks, your swimsuit, towels, and shower gel.

Please remember to bring your sunglasses and sunscreen, and kindly ensure you have a USB drive or SD card with a minimum capacity of 32 GB so we can conveniently transfer the video footage from our Podgorica white-water rafting trip to you immediately afterward.

MORNING TOUR - YOUR TRANSPORT

10:30 AM - 11 AM - Upon arrival at the camp, we will meet with the guides for a briefing and equipment distribution. Once all participants have arrived, we will depart for the tour's starting point in Brštanovica.
11:00 AM - 11:30 AM - arriving to Brštanovica, preparing the raft, start of the tour
11:30 AM - 3:00 or 4:00 PM - We'll raft down the Tara River, pausing occasionally for swimming, photography, and cliff jumping. The tour concludes near base camp, where you can return your equipment, shower, and collect your tour video.
3:00 - 4:00 PM - Lunch is served, and afterward, we shall depart.

AFTERNOON TOUR - YOUR TRANSPORT

1:30 PM - 2:00 PM - We'll arrive at the camp, meet the guides, get the briefing and gear, then once everyone's there, we're off to the tour start in our jeeps, Brštanovic.
2:00 PM - 2:30 PM - Upon arrival in Brštanovica, raft preparation will commence, initiating the tour.
2:30 PM - 5:00 or 6:00 PM - Our Tara River rafting tour includes several swimming and photography breaks, along with opportunities for cliff jumping. The tour concludes near base camp, where you will return your equipment, shower, and receive your tour video.
5:00 - 6:00 PM - Lunch is served; the meeting will adjourn afterward.

Food

The true identity of a country can be recognized after trying a homemade meal when visiting a venue with traditional values. A great meal can restore strength and energy, it can prepare you for the challenging day in front of you and also warm you up after an exciting day filled with adventure!

At Outdoor TaraSport we nurture domestic, traditional cuisine, which creates a special feeling of welcomeness and intimacy with our guests. All ingredients are produced in the surroundings of our camp, in the same way our ancestors did, centuries ago. These landscapes represent a rare oasis of unspoiled nature in Europe, so the products of our region are unpolluted and healthy. The meals that we offer to you are made of organically grown fruits, vegetables and meat are grown and raised by the local villagers from Durmitor, Maglić, Zelengora and other highlands nearby.

In addition to delicious meals, we offer you authentic beverages of this region. Homemade brandy called “rakija” will surely elevate the mood (plum brandy, pear brandy, apple, quince) along with wines from the finest wineries. A new trend in our area are local beer brewers who make such good beer, they can definitely put some serious beer brands to shame. Traditional alcoholic drinks are not all that we serve - at our restaurant, you can choose from a variety of fruit juices, warm tea from the best herbs and popular hot beverages.

Fun activities, impressive views, and unique surroundings are an amazing way to get to know our country, but the best way to get to know the people is through food. Food is what brings everyone together and it is our wish to have you join us at the table. Our menu is made with a passion for fine cuisine and the joy of introducing our heritage:

For breakfast: uštipci, buns, ham, smoked prosciutto, smoked meat, eggs, sour cream, honey, meadow teas, and sweets of seasonal fruits.
For lunch: muffins, cabbage pies, bread under the ashes, various soups, triftarski beans, the roasting veal and lamb meat, lamb and pork, salads.
For dinner: a brook trout, polenta, potato under the ashes, roasted lamb, hunter's stew, salads, cheeses, ham and prosciutto from Herzegovina.
For dessert: tulumbe, baklava, urmašice.

Notes:

People who are on a special diet should announce this when making a reservation and we will try to respond to your every request and need.
We can serve vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meals for guests who have certain allergies.
Groups can be served with other types of meals, depending on the wishes of guests and the camp's abilities.
