This Tara rafting adventure includes two nights in comfortable mountain bungalows or in cozy apartments, five meals prepared according to local recipes from organically grown local groceries, and two rafting tours through the most exciting parts of Tara and Drina (Brštanovica - Šćepan polje - Hum). Tara and Drina have so much more to show you. Depending on the time of year rafting on Tara can be an extreme challenge of moving personal limits and a smooth ride and enjoyment in every part of the clear mountain beauty. Choose which one you want or try both.

Day 1 - Check-in

Our adventure starts with your arrival in the late afternoon at our base camp, Outdoor resort TaraSport. Once settled in and rested, all guests gather at our restaurant, and dinner comes next in the evening. After dinner, you are free to rest here and enjoy the music, hang out, and meet new people before finally going to bed.

Day 2 - Rafting tour Brštanovica - Hum area

On the second day, after a traditional mountain breakfast, we are ready to conquer the biggest rapids of Tara and Drina. Every guest receives all the necessary equipment for rafting and once everyone is ready, we leave with our off-road jeeps towards the starting point of the tour, Brštanovica.

When we arrive at the start, our guides will prepare the rafts and give you some instructions about the descend, and safety. When everything is clear, you are ready to start your adventure! Sliding down the rapids is an experience unlike no other - you feel like you have become one with nature. Our tour will take us through the lower part of the Tara river canyon, which is actually the most exciting part for doing a rafting tour - there are 23 rapids to be overcome and the walls of the gorge in this area are absolutely beautiful. During the descend, we take breaks for photographing surreal landscapes, swimming under waterfalls, sightseeing fairytale landscapes, and capturing memories that change the outlook on life. The rapids take us towards Šćepan polje, which represents the border between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Here, Piva river hugs Tara and together they create Drina river. We continue down its stream until we reach our base camp in the Hum area, which lies above the Drina river. This is where our rafting tour ends.

We return to the camp, full of impressions, and restore our consumed energy with delicious lunch. Our helpful staff will transfer the video to you, so you can have an eternal memory of your rafting experience with us. After lunch, we rest and hang out or you can spend this time doing one of the shorter tours that we have in our offer - perhaps you would be interested in rock climbing or zip-lining on the Piva river. Later, we gather once again in the evening to have dinner, and after that, you may have fun at the restaurant or retire early and have a comfortable night in your accommodation.

Day 3 - Check-out

The morning marks the third day of your adventure and after breakfast, your three-day tour ends. But we know we will see each other again - you'll be guided by the desire for new excitement and a new adventure. We will gladly welcome you on your next visit.

Food

The true identity of a country can be recognized after trying a homemade meal when visiting a venue with traditional values. A great meal can restore strength and energy, it can prepare you for the challenging day in front of you and also warm you up after an exciting day filled with adventure!

At Outdoor TaraSport we nurture domestic, traditional cuisine, which creates a special feeling of welcomeness and intimacy with our guests. All ingredients are produced in the surroundings of our camp, in the same way our ancestors did, centuries ago. These landscapes represent a rare oasis of unspoiled nature in Europe, so the products of our region are unpolluted and healthy. The meals that we offer to you are made of organically grown fruits, vegetables and meat are grown and raised by the local villagers from Durmitor, Maglić, Zelengora and other highlands nearby.

In addition to delicious meals, we offer you authentic beverages of this region. Homemade brandy called “rakija” will surely elevate the mood (plum brandy, pear brandy, apple, quince) along with wines from the finest wineries. A new trend in our area are local beer brewers who make such good beer, they can definitely put some serious beer brands to shame. Traditional alcoholic drinks are not all that we serve - at our restaurant, you can choose from a variety of fruit juices, warm tea from the best herbs and popular hot beverages.

Fun activities, impressive views, and unique surroundings are an amazing way to get to know our country, but the best way to get to know the people is through food. Food is what brings everyone together and it is our wish to have you join us at the table. Our menu is made with a passion for fine cuisine and the joy of introducing our heritage:

For breakfast: uštipci, buns, ham, smoked prosciutto, smoked meat, eggs, sour cream, honey, meadow teas, and sweets of seasonal fruits.
For lunch: muffins, cabbage pies, bread under the ashes, various soups, triftarski beans, the roasting veal and lamb meat, lamb and pork, salads.
For dinner: a brook trout, polenta, potato under the ashes, roasted lamb, hunter's stew, salads, cheeses, ham and prosciutto from Herzegovina.
For dessert: tulumbe, baklava, urmašice.

Notes:

People who are on a special diet should announce this when making a reservation and we will try to respond to your every request and need.
We can serve vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meals for guests who have certain allergies.
Groups can be served with other types of meals, depending on the wishes of guests and the camp's abilities.

The minimum number of participants for the realization of the tour is 4 people or you can join an existing group.
The maximum number of participants is 8-10 people per guide.
For groups with over 15 persons, we approve of a group discount.
Children aged 3 and above are welcome to participate.
For children up to 12 years of age, the price of the tour is reduced by 30% for an overnight stay and food services
The time schedule is not fixed and may vary depending on the wishes and needs of our guests, as well as in accordance with our overall organization.
