Day 1 - Check-in

The adventure begins in the afternoon coming to our base camp, Outdoor resort TaraSport, and settling in an authentic mountain bungalows. Dinner comes next, followed by a relaxing evening that will drive away all traces of monotony and make you completely surrender to these wildlands. Friendship, music, and relaxation, which you'll remember forever.

Day 2 - Rafting tour Šljivansko - Brštanovica

Another day begins with a mountainous breakfast that will give us strength for the clash with the moody Tara. With our terrain vehicles, we embark towards Žabljak, passing through the surreal pearls of nature that will take your breath away - Piva Canyon, Piva lake, then Piva mountain and across Trsa we arrive to Durmitor. From there we descend to Žabljak and the coast of Tara - Šljivansko. After lunch by the river, each participant receives all the necessary equipment for rafting and excitement can begin. With the help of our licensed ( IRF ) TARASPORT skippers, we'll tame the wild waves in the upper of the Tara River. During the rafting trip that takes about 5 hours, we'll take breaks to fill the photo album with pictures of natural beauty, take a swim in the cold water below the falls, jump off the cliff and exchange first impressions. In the late afternoon, we arrive at our partner camp on the bank of the Tara river, in the Brštanovica area.

Rich dinner prepared according to traditional recipes from local ingredients that satisfy the most demanding palates will restore the lost energy. Time after dinner you can fill with resting, socializing, sports activities...

Day 3 - Rafting tour Brštanovica - Hum area

On the third day after breakfast, we continue rafting on the lower part of Tara where we restrain and outwit another 23 angry rapids. The last section of the river Tara is a real adrenaline treat for all lovers of rafting because the river is here the fastest with plenty foamy rapids. The second part of the tour begins on Brštanovica, after that Šćepan polje where Piva and Tara form the emerald mountain beauty Drina, and ends in Hum area.

Screaming, laughing, enjoying the clear water, photo safari, noisy waterfalls, wild springs, rocky beaches, and rocky edges - that's what rafting on Tara and Drina is all about. But also so much more than that. It's a feeling that you will carry with you for a long time and that will surely lead you back to us again. All participants receive a free GoPro footage of their tour.

After returning to the base camp and returning your equipment lunch comes next, and then we part our ways filled with impressions.

Food

The true identity of a country can be recognized after trying a homemade meal when visiting a venue with traditional values. A great meal can restore strength and energy, it can prepare you for the challenging day in front of you and also warm you up after an exciting day filled with adventure!

At Outdoor TaraSport we nurture domestic, traditional cuisine, which creates a special feeling of welcomeness and intimacy with our guests. All ingredients are produced in the surroundings of our camp, in the same way our ancestors did, centuries ago. These landscapes represent a rare oasis of unspoiled nature in Europe, so the products of our region are unpolluted and healthy. The meals that we offer to you are made of organically grown fruits, vegetables and meat are grown and raised by the local villagers from Durmitor, Maglić, Zelengora and other highlands nearby.

In addition to delicious meals, we offer you authentic beverages of this region. Homemade brandy called “rakija” will surely elevate the mood (plum brandy, pear brandy, apple, quince) along with wines from the finest wineries. A new trend in our area are local beer brewers who make such good beer, they can definitely put some serious beer brands to shame. Traditional alcoholic drinks are not all that we serve - at our restaurant, you can choose from a variety of fruit juices, warm tea from the best herbs and popular hot beverages.

Fun activities, impressive views, and unique surroundings are an amazing way to get to know our country, but the best way to get to know the people is through food. Food is what brings everyone together and it is our wish to have you join us at the table. Our menu is made with a passion for fine cuisine and the joy of introducing our heritage:

For breakfast: uštipci, buns, ham, smoked prosciutto, smoked meat, eggs, sour cream, honey, meadow teas, and sweets of seasonal fruits.
For lunch: muffins, cabbage pies, bread under the ashes, various soups, triftarski beans, the roasting veal and lamb meat, lamb and pork, salads.
For dinner: a brook trout, polenta, potato under the ashes, roasted lamb, hunter's stew, salads, cheeses, ham and prosciutto from Herzegovina.
For dessert: tulumbe, baklava, urmašice.

Notes:

People who are on a special diet should announce this when making a reservation and we will try to respond to your every request and need.
We can serve vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meals for guests who have certain allergies.
Groups can be served with other types of meals, depending on the wishes of guests and the camp's abilities.

Price of the tour is higher during the weekend
The minimum number of participants for the realization of the tour is 4 people or you can join an existing group.
The maximum number of participants on the raft is 8-10 persons per guide.
For group bookings with over 15 people, we approve of a group discount.
For children up to 12 years of age, the price of the tour is reduced by 30% (the discount doesn't apply to the taxes and rafting tour).
The departure time is not fixed and may vary depending on the wishes and needs of our guests, as well as in accordance with our overall organization.
This tour can be extended and/or combined with other tours from our offer.
