Upon arrival at our base camp, gear up for an unforgettable rafting experience down the Tara River, Europe’s deepest canyon. After rafting, continue your safari through remote highland villages and enjoy panoramic views of the Tara Canyon before returning to Žabljak. 8:00 AM – Pick-Up in Žabljak.

Your adventure commences with a pick-up in Žabljak in front of Tourist info Center, the gateway to Durmitor National Park. We embark on a picturesque jeep ride, immersing ourselves in Montenegro's pristine wilderness.

Drive to Poscenje, Sedlo, Dobri Do, Prutaš, Pišće, Trsa, approximately two hours.

Our initial destination is Poscenje, a charming village encircled by towering peaks and glacial lakes. We shall proceed through Sedlo Pass, the highest road pass in Montenegro, where we can witness panoramic views of Durmitor's rugged landscapes. Subsequently, we will drive through Dobri Do, a breathtaking valley framed by steep cliffs, before arriving at the iconic Prutaš peak, renowned for its layered rock formations. The route will then lead us through the tranquil villages of Pišće and Trsa, where traditional Montenegrin life can still be observed. From there, we will descend into the awe-inspiring Piva Canyon, where the pristine waters of the Piva River meander through majestic limestone cliffs.

10:00 AM - Arrival at rafting camp

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM - participants gather at our camp, meet and greet with guides, equipment distribution, depart for the tours starting point in off road jeep once all participants have arrived

11:30 AM - arriving at Brštanovica and prepare to raft, safety briefing, commence the rafting tour

11:45 AM - 3 or 4 PM - enjoy a thrilling rafting experience down the Tara River, with opportunities to take refreshing dips in the water, capture scenic moments with GoPro, and engage in exhilarating jumps from rocks. The tour concludes at the riverside camp where you initially embarked on the rafting adventure. After the tour, kindly return the equipment and feel free to utilize the shower facilities at the camp. Please ensure that you have your towels with you.

The duration of the rafting tour ranges between 3 and 4 hours. Please note that the exact duration may vary depending on several factors, including the river's current speed, the number of breaks taken, and the duration of each break.

4:00 PM – Return Journey: Crkvičko Polje, Nedajno, Mala Crna Gora, Stoč about 2.5 Hours.

Following the conclusion of the rafting excursion, we will commence our return journey. Our initial leg will involve traversing Crkvičko Polje, an elevated plateau encompassed by mountains. Subsequently, we will proceed to Nedajno, a village recognized as one of the highest inhabited settlements within the Balkan region. At this location, you will be afforded the opportunity to immerse yourself in panoramic vistas encompassing the surrounding peaks and valleys.

The subsequent phase of our itinerary entails navigating through Mala Crna Gora, a diminutive and isolated village situated on the periphery of the Tara Canyon. This region is renowned for presenting some of the most awe-inspiring perspectives of the canyon and the river situated considerably below. Finally, we will traverse Stoč, a serene settlement distinguished by its conventional stone dwellings and unspoiled natural environment.

7:00 PM – Arrival in Žabljak

Our adventure concludes with a return to Žabljak, culminating a day replete with adrenaline, natural splendor, and cultural enlightenment.

The true identity of a country can be recognized after trying a homemade meal when visiting a venue with traditional values. A great meal can restore strength and energy, it can prepare you for the challenging day in front of you and also warm you up after an exciting day filled with adventure!

At Outdoor TaraSport we nurture domestic, traditional cuisine, which creates a special feeling of welcomeness and intimacy with our guests. All ingredients are produced in the surroundings of our camp, in the same way our ancestors did, centuries ago. These landscapes represent a rare oasis of unspoiled nature in Europe, so the products of our region are unpolluted and healthy. The meals that we offer to you are made of organically grown fruits, vegetables and meat are grown and raised by the local villagers from Durmitor, Maglić, Zelengora and other highlands nearby.

In addition to delicious meals, we offer you authentic beverages of this region. Homemade brandy called “rakija” will surely elevate the mood (plum brandy, pear brandy, apple, quince) along with wines from the finest wineries. A new trend in our area are local beer brewers who make such good beer, they can definitely put some serious beer brands to shame. Traditional alcoholic drinks are not all that we serve - at our restaurant, you can choose from a variety of fruit juices, warm tea from the best herbs and popular hot beverages.

Fun activities, impressive views, and unique surroundings are an amazing way to get to know our country, but the best way to get to know the people is through food. Food is what brings everyone together and it is our wish to have you join us at the table. Our menu is made with a passion for fine cuisine and the joy of introducing our heritage:

For breakfast: uštipci, buns, ham, smoked prosciutto, smoked meat, eggs, sour cream, honey, meadow teas, and sweets of seasonal fruits.
For lunch: muffins, cabbage pies, bread under the ashes, various soups, triftarski beans, the roasting veal and lamb meat, lamb and pork, salads.
For dinner: a brook trout, polenta, potato under the ashes, roasted lamb, hunter's stew, salads, cheeses, ham and prosciutto from Herzegovina.
For dessert: tulumbe, baklava, urmašice.

People who are on a special diet should announce this when making a reservation and we will try to respond to your every request and need.
We can serve vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and meals for guests who have certain allergies.
Groups can be served with other types of meals, depending on the wishes of guests and the camp's abilities.
